160-Slot Avalon 2U Hydro Container Deployed in Quebec

Project Description

Our avalon hydro mining container enabled an institutional operator in Quebec, Canada, to connect 1.6MW of computing load within a tight substation plot. To eliminate space constraints and acoustic issues, we delivered a 160-slot 20HQ unit housing 160 Avalon A1566HA 2U miners in a space-saving layout.

Each 160-slot container arrived with modular 2U racking and balanced stainless piping designed for continuous liquid distribution. Crews placed the 20HQ enclosure on pre-cast slabs and connected dry coolers, cutting on-site electrical and plumbing installation by thirty percent compared to custom building structures.

Commissioned within three weeks, the 1.6MW system operates at 99.8% reliability with an operational 1.03 PUE. Circulating coolant directly through hashboards shielded miners against freezing winter temperatures, maintaining quiet operations and full hashrates across all 160 Avalon A1566HA machines.
