Eight 100-Slot Avalon Hydro Containers Energized in Stockholm

Project Description

Deploying our avalon hydro container as a multi-brand hybrid container allowed an infrastructure group near Stockholm, Sweden, to build an 8MW site on renewable hydroelectric power. To avoid single-vendor supply bottlenecks, the operator required a true hybrid container capable of running mixed ASIC architectures. We delivered 8 units of the 1.0MW 20HQ model to support 800 hybrid rigs.

Each 100-slot hybrid container accommodates both Canaan Avalon A1566HA and MicroBT Whatsminer 2U machines in the same chassis. Because the two brands have different internal water-block resistances, technicians used adjustable branch valves on the main manifolds to balance flow across each shelf. Cranes positioned the 20-foot units directly onto poured concrete footings.

Connecting all eight units to the utility grid and dry coolers took four weeks. Operating on Sweden’s 100% renewable hydro grid, the hybrid containers maintain balanced pressure across all 800 mixed miners, giving the operator complete freedom to purchase hardware from whichever manufacturer offers the best price and availability.
