Eight 2.4MW Hydro Mining Containers Tied to Finnish Hydro Grid

Project Description
Our 2.4MW hydro mining container fleet was selected to anchor a 19.2MW zero-emission Bitcoin expansion directly downstream of a regional Finnish hydroelectric plant. Connecting directly to the Nordic transmission network required solving severe utility compliance hurdles, particularly meeting strict European low-voltage safety directives for megawatt-scale liquid compute.
To clear local permitting, each 40HQ container was custom-engineered with isolated internal bulkheads that physically partition high-voltage distribution switchgear from the liquid cooling manifolds. Supported by automated clean-agent gas fire suppression and continuous infrared leak-monitoring sensors, the design eliminated short-circuit hazards and fulfilled the grid operator’s fire safety audits without requiring external blast walls.
Now fully commissioned across all eight units, the Kajaani plant operates continuously through sub-zero Arctic winters. The external dry radiators utilize northern ambient air rather than fresh water to bleed off heat, proving that multi-megawatt hash infrastructure can integrate seamlessly into demanding European energy ecosystems.
